FDW Special Offer: Complimentary Reiki Self-Care Training by ZOOM

Join us for our complimentary offering of self-care Reiki.  What is Reiki? Reiki is a relaxation technique that helps you connect with your subtle energy system and intuition.  It is used in healthcare settings, mental health institutions among other organizations to support optimal healing, reduce pain in the short term and to promote wellbeing with a reduction in anxiety and depression.

This class will introduce you to this ancient healing approach. It is approximately a 50 minute class. The class is taught at different dates and times and you only need to register for one date.  

To fully engage in Reiki, you will want to learn more about Reiki certifications.  To utilize as a Reiki practitioner, you must be certified as a Reiki Level Two practitioner.

Instructors:

Mara Benner is a Reiki Master, ordained in interfaith/interspiritual practices, certified in Qigong, reflexology, Certified Energy Medicine Practitioner and Certified Intuitive Counselor.

Catherine Miller is a Reiki Master, health and wellness coach, nutritionist and yoga instructor.  Catherine worked with Mara at GWU Hospital offering Reiki to patients as well as through support groups.

Reiki Level Two Certification by ZOOM

Once you have learned the self-care techniques offered through Reiki Level One training, continue your personal transformative journey through learning Reiki Level Two. This class introduces you to the sacred symbols used for healing, furthers your training of Reiki to others and acknowledges the additional insights and learning through attunements.

Key Objectives:

1. Review Level One Training and key points;
2. Learn the three Reiki 2 power symbols (Power/Focus, Mental Harmony, and Distant/Connecting);
3. Practice on using symbols on self and then others;
4. Learn long-distance Reiki for others;
5. Receive attunements for connecting with symbols and energy;
6. Consider ethical issues, professional use and working in clinical setting, and
7. Receive certification after training and completion of all assignments. (Certification is through Four Directions Wellness, affiliated with the GW Center for Integrative Medicine.)

Reiki Level 2 certification explores in more detail offering healing to others including the option for long distance healing. This level instructs on the use of sacred symbols and the participant receives additional attunements for connecting with the healing energy. Following successful completion, a Level 2 Reiki practitioner may offer in a professionally.

Instructors for this course will either be Mara Benner or Catherine Miller. Mara is a Reiki Master, trained in various ancient mind-body-spirit healing techniques.  She is ordained in interfaith/interspiritual practices, and she ran the Reiki program at GWU Hospital.

Nine Month Training


Reiki Master Certification Training

With the successful completion of Reiki Level One and Two certifications, you may continue your journey through a nine-month Reiki Master training.  In this class, you explore in more depth the healing aspects of energy.  Participants learn how to teach Reiki and learn the last sacred symbol for attunments in the Usui Shiki Ryoho.  Participants also receive the final attunement and so much more!

Key Objectives:

  1. Explore in more depth the wonderful world of healing energy;
  2. Learn how to work with the energetic aura;
  3. Discover how to use a body scan to detect stagnation in a person's energy field and physical body;
  4. Explore the use of chromotherapy;
  5. Consider other ancient healing approaches and the similarities to Reiki;
  6. Practice using your skills in energetic sessions;
  7. Learn how to utilize your intuitive skills;
  8. Learn how to provide attunements,
  9. Understand how to teach Reiki for all levels, and
  10. Deepen your personal understanding of the world around you along with so much more!

Reiki Master training happens on the second Tuesday of the month beginning in October.  All classes are done via ZOOM.

For the current year, please take a moment to review the dates provided.  It is important that participants not miss more than two classes.

If you have not trained at Four Directions Wellness, please be sure to provide you Reiki Level One and Two certification to qualify for Reiki Master training.

Refund Policy:

To best support an individual’s journey, FDW has small, intimate classes to allow for experiential learning and growth. FDW therefore must depend on confirmations and attendance for class. So please note that any cancellations must be sent to mara@fourdirectionswellness.com a week in advance to receive a full refund minus a $20 processing fee. There will be a refund minus half the cost of the class for cancellations up to 48 hours to the class. Unfortunately, FDW is unable to refund any amount 48 hours before the class. Payment for the entire class is required even if you are unable to complete the whole training. Please also be sure that you will be able to attend all of the class dates to receive certifications. Thank you!

Media Policy:
